Alex Gillo is a talented and prolific artist working and exhibiting in Bristol and the South West. Her vibrant abstract paintings are colourful and energetic, and her site needed to be calm and restrained to allow her art work to the centre of attention. The design elements are subtle to the point of being almost subliminal.
The galleries are displayed in the floating box that has now become familiar to Facebook users. The social network and share buttons are hidden in one icon to keep the design clean and simple. The site aims to be satisfyingly arranged due to a close eye for detail and time spent tweaking the elements to find pleasing proportions in the design.
